Emmeline Pankhurst - JULY 15

The CWO ceremony of wreath-laying at the memorial to Emmeline Pankhurst in Victoria Tower Gardens, Westminster, honours the anniversary of her birth and this year commemorates the 90th year of the first Conservative Women’s Committee.

The formal procedure will last about 15-20 minutes, and will be followed by a social networking event at a local venue.

Those wishing to participate are asked to meet at the memorial at 6.15pm. There is no need to notify attendance at the wreath-laying, but those interested in participating in the networking session are asked to advise Elaine Hall tel. 0207 984 8139 or email elaine.hall@conservatives.com

Anyone for a BBC 3 Documentary?

BBC 3 is currently working on a documentary with Eastenders actress Melissa Suffield about whether 16-year-olds should be allowed to vote or not. They are looking for 16 and 17-year-olds who believe 16-year-olds should be allowed to vote to join Melissa for an event being held at a central London location at 3pm this Saturday, 13th June.

They'd like as many people to attend as possible so bring some friends and come and show your support! Email them at getyourvote@bbc.co.uk and they'll send you all the details.

Weekly update

Thanks to all those who helped in the European election polling day knock-up last Thursday. We got the highest proportion of the vote in London with 27% which meant that we were able to send Dr Charles Tannock, Syed Kamall and Marina Yannakoudakis to represent us in Europe. A big congratulations to them all.

On Monday evening we hosted our thank you party at the Old Bank of England and it was a
great event with Syed Kamall MEP thanking us all for our hard work in the campaign.
